When I started making soap and bath products, I didn’t have a clue where to purchase good quality fragrance oils, colors, molds, etc. Unfortunately, the first few I ordered were terrible, and didn’t work in my cold process soap. I got very lucky a couple of weeks later, when I met another soaper, who is also an aromatherapist. She has not only become a good friend, she also told me about Bramble Berry, and gave me some fragrance oils to try. I couldn’t believe the difference! Not only do the fragrances smell awesome, they have worked great in everything I have tried them in. Needless to say, I only order from Bramble Berry now!! Okay, Anne-Marie, you said to tell about a favorite product…..that’s really hard! I haven’t ordered ANYTHING that I haven’t liked! I would have to say that I love the 10x orange oil, as it actually stays, even when I CPOP my soap! I have had great success with the teenagers, making a quality facial bar with Love Spell (type) fragrance and purple jojoba beads–they think it’s great! And Soapy Clean is sooooo nice in my homemade laundry soap, it just makes everything smell so, well, clean! Anyway, I think I would make a great member of your panel because of the large variety of bath and body products I make. That list would be m&p soap, cold process, hot process (including CPOP), liquid hand soap, foaming hand soap, shower gel, bath bombs, body butter, lotion/massage bars, shampoo bars, and my latest, liquid laundry soap. There’s probably a few more in there, but you get the idea! So I would really LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to try out your new fragrances, in many different types of products. I’m sure there are lots like me out there, but pick me anyway, pretty please?!? Thanks for reading, I’m going to go make some patchouli and lemongrass soap now, with the M&P like cold process soap….did I mention I love that too??
Well, for several reasons, I decided I should start a blog for anyone who is interested in what’s going on in Auntie Lu’s world. I have been spending so much time making soap and other bath products, and creating new recipes, that I have sorely neglected my website. So, at this point if I can post something once a week, I’ll be doing really good! Within the next few weeks, I have hopes of getting pictures and descriptions of all of my products, I have many, many more than what is shown on here! This post will be very short, as I need to do a second one today. The company that I love to order all my fragrances, essential oils, and lots of other fun stuff is having a contest to be able to test out about 10 of the new spring fragrances. Anne-Marie, the owner of Bramble Berry, is an awsome person, with so many great ideas, and she loves to share them with everyone. It would be great fun to test out some new products, and share my ideas with her! So look for new pictures and info soon, and remember you can always come see what we have available at the Nampa Farmer’s Market!
